Traditional home construction, also known as stick frame, is the most common building method in the United States. Traditional construction may be a mix of several classic regional designs found throughout the country. This style offers a variety of home styles and finishes. Homes built using traditional construction methods generally have stud-framed walls and a trussed or rafter-framed roof. Exterior materials could be wood or fiber-cement siding, brick, stucco, and stone, or any combination thereof.
